I was introduced to George “Shadow” Morton by Jeff Barry & Ellie Greenwich. I really liked this guy from the start. He was an animated character to say the least, and we hit it off great. George hired me to work with him with this new all girls group.. The Shangri-Las. I really enjoyed working with “Shadow” as he was known as. He had great instincts and was always fun to be around. “Leader Of The Pack” wasn’t just a record. To me it was like a teenage movie set to music .. sound effects and all.
