I have known Frankie Valli for almost 40 years. I never wrote any arrangements for him. However I played piano or percussion on many of his records with the Four Seasons back in my early New York days. These sessions were produced by Bob Crewe. I love Frankie’s sound. He is a very musical guy with great instincts. We run into each other occasionally here in Los Angeles where we both live. I would love to write for him. We’re talking about it.

Frankie Avalon is a new friend. I met him about five years ago at a Christmas party and liked him instantly. I saw him perform last year for the first time and he knocked me out as a performer. I have never worked with him, however I really would like to. He is a real pro, and I respect that a lot. This picture was taken in Los Angeles at the new Kodak Theater in Hollywood. It was opening night of “Grease” and Frankie was starring in it.
