This was taken at the Friars Club in Los Angeles at Milton Berle’s eighty-fifth birthday party. Needless to say, the club was packed with celebrities and the media. Milton was taking this picture with George Burns. I was standing on the side watching. George motioned for me to sit down next to him. As I sat down beside him he whispered in my ear “Artie, the reason I asked you to sit down here beside me was not because I wanted you in the picture, it’s to keep me from falling over.” When he said that I was the one who fell over… with laughter.
