Hi Artie: I was just talking to an old boyfriend of mine (when I was age 6) and we were reminicing about the old neighborhood. And he told me about you. Boy, alot of very talented people came out of east flatbush. My uncle Danny was partners with Phil Silvers (picture of the Brooks Brothers on Phil’s site) and I also had a small part in a hit show in NYC. If it wasn’t for my friend Herman Fleischman I would have never remembered you. I thank him for showing me the way. I sent you my webpage – I am the blonde in most of the pictures and you should be able to recognize my friends. |

My mother always told me “When people show you who they are, believe them.” There are numerous kind words about many great legends in the entertainment world, spoken by Mr. Butler. I have personally been honored having met Artie this summer, and have a few words to say about my experience. What his credits read, and who the man really is, is an unusual dichotomy in the world of entertainment.I met Artie in a Baptist church in of all places Salt Lake City, Utah. Despite his immense accomplishments in the industry, he was non-assuming in his presence, always kinda taking it all in being one of the brethren. What time would soon show me that Artie is the most spiritual man I’ve ever met, in tune with mankind and a Godly presence. He’s also one of the most gracious men I’ve met. Always making time to help those who struggle, and being patient with them as they learn.Artie is talented beyond comprehension. It’s amazing just to watch it all come together from his mind to the score sheet. The world otta look out and take note of what he’s about to do in the rehlm of spiritual music, he’s got a fire burning in him that’ll catch the world aflame.Artie, I was blessed to have met you this summer, you’ve changed my outlook on life. I’m especially proud to have worked with you, I learned a ton. In the words of uncle Miltie, ” Here’s my card, give me yours, and we’ll be friends forever.” Artie, keep blessing the world with incredible music.”Here’s to Life” |

Artie; What a stellar career you have had these past years. For years I have been haunted by the incredible Hammond B3 lick on Society’s Child and Indian Reservation. And for years I sensed it had to be the same person that did it. Finally about 9 months ago I discovered Janis Ian’s Website http://www.janisian.com/cgi-moses/discussion.pl/janisboard:www.janisian.com/And asked her about the lick.. She answered my question in her forum. and was intrigued by her fond memories of that recording session watching you bounce between the Hammond and the keyboards, and something lke you all were only using an 8 track? geez! It was the key. I searched for many hours looking for the tie-in but couldn’t find it. Then tonight I happened to come across your site. and bingo there it was! the tie-in.. Incredible… Finally a question I have had for years was finally answered in your website. Thank you for the many hours of enjoyment that you helped create thru the artists of our time period.. you have been blessed with a gift. Thanks.. JB Santa Rosa, CA |

Hi Artie. Your music has been an inspiration to me for years and years.I have many of the records and CD’s you have made. I am a music teacher in a small town outside of Toledo Ohio. At one point in my life I had dreams of being an arranger like yourself. I never was in your class though, so I became a teacher instead. When I hear some of the great things you have done, I understand why you have been as successful as you have. I really have a lot of respect for your talent. You are a great inspiration to my students as well. Keep up the good work. By the way, your piano work on “Feelin’ Alright” by Joe Cocker is in a class by itself. |
